There was a regular meeting of
the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tully on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at
7:00pm in the Municipal Building.

Pledge of
Allegiance/Call to Order
Deputy Mayor
Flaherty led the Pledge of Allegiance and called the meeting to order at 7:01pm.
Motion was made by Trustee
Poellot, 2nd by Trustee Vernay to approve the minutes for the October
1, 2014. 3 ayes, 1 abstention.
Public Comment
Janet McKnight: Ms McKnight will submit
a letter with requested corrections to the October minutes.
DPW:
East meter: Upon motion by Deputy Mayor Flaherty, 2nd
by Trustee Vernay it was unanimous to approve the bid from Adhan for repairs to
the water supply to the east meter pit, with refinements, subject to payment in
full by 11/20/14 for their share of the update, from the two (2) outside users
prior to the contract being signed by the Village.
The clerk will send certified
letters to the two (2) users regarding this matter, and stating that their
water may be discontinued.
Beavers: Upon motion by Trustee Poellot, 2nd
by Trustee Vernay it was unanimous to authorize access to Lou Scott to trap
beavers that are damming up the creek near Cummings Park.
Scrap Fire Hydrants: Upon motion by Trustee Poellot, 2nd
by Trustee Yonko it was unanimous to declare 3 fire hydrants scrap and
authorize Harold to get the best price available for them.
Trees: 3 out of 4 red oak trees that were purchased
from the nursery have been planted.
Maintenance Report: There
was an inspection from DOH. No problems were found.
Training Report: The DPW crew is doing some of the sampling
and filling out the paperwork.
Codes: There may be a fence
down around a swimming pool on 11 grove – codes will take a look
Counsel:
Upon motion by Trustee Poellot,
2nd by Trustee Yonko it was unanimous to authorize the Village Clerk
to sign the contract with Roosevelt and Cross.
The amount of the BAN is $300,000.00, the interest is 1.507%.
Engineer:
No report
New Business:
The Precinct building is being
used by the youth group, and the Lego group.
We need to look into a building use policy.
Upon motion by Trustee Poellot,
2nd by Deputy Mayor Flaherty it was unanimous to accept the
treasurer’s report subject to audit.
Upon motion by Trustee Vernay, 2nd
by Trustee Yonko it was unanimous to change the general payroll to the 19th
of December.
Ralph Lamson reported that
NYSERTA has given us preliminary acceptance.
Public comment
Audit Bills
Upon motion
by Deputy Mayor Flaherty, 2nd by Trustee Yonko, it was unanimous to
review and authorize the accountant to pay the bills, subject to audit.
Upon motion
of Deputy Mayor Flaherty, 2nd
by Trustee Vernay it was unanimous to adjourn at 8:10pm.
