Public Comment
DPW:
Future plan for the
Reservoir: We will demo and fill the old reservoir.
Scrap metal disposal: DPW
disposed of $645.00 worth of scrap
metal.
Snow Removal: the Town
DPW was extremely appreciative of the assistance from the Village DPW in the
snow removal throughout the Village.
Both DPW crews did an excellent job of making the Village safer.
Water Main Break: the Austin Road water line had another
break. That line is scheduled to be
replaced under the Water Improvement Project due to begin 2015.
Maintenance Report: One of the buildings still has heating
issues.
Training Report: Harold and Rich completed the lead and copper
report that is filed every three years.
Codes:
The Village received a check for
$2,500.00 from NYSERTA for solar panels, many thanks to Codes (Ralph) for
bringing that program to the Village’s attention.
A mold problem was reported at a
Grove St. apartment, for temporary relief Ralph recommended a dehumidifier.
8 Robin Lane: Codes will check out complains of garbage,
used appliances and old vehicles.
54 State Street: Codes will look into contacting the owner
about mowing the lawn and general upkeep.
Counsel:
No report
Engineer:
Surveyors have been busy throughout
the Village in preparation of the Water Improvement Project.
Unfinished Business:
The school and village tax
collectors have been having numerous issues with the inability of the assessor
to keep up with changes in ownership and address changes for property
owners. School and village taxes and
water/sewer bills are getting mailed to wrong addresses or old property owners,
due to wrong names and or addresses.
The dog catcher, Laura Holt not
only takes care of issues in the Town but also in the Village.
New Business:
The Tully Lego League will be
going to the Nationals for the 2nd year in a row. They were very appreciative of the
availability of the Precinct House. It
enabled them to leave their work and not take it down each time. The Village Board was pleased that they were
able to help and they are hopeful that more community members will make use of
the building. The Board and counsel are
working on a building use form. Listed
below are some of the activities that the Lego League has worked on:
-
Raised $1K for Pennies for Polio (Their 6th
year of raising $1,000.00 to eliminate polio)
-
Volunteered at the Lafayette Apple Fest
-
Cleaned up South Meadows Park hiking trails in
Tully
-
Packed supplies and snacks for soldiers in
Afghanistan
